· Female dogs tend to be quicker to learn and are not as easily distracted during training sessions.
· Female dogs are less likely to be openly defiant or to engage in blunt power struggles or dominance challenges -- yet they can be clever, passively resistant, and manipulative about getting their own way.
· Female dogs are prone to mood swings and emotional theatrics. They can be sweet one day (or one hour!) and grumpy the next. · Female dogs are experts at The Dirty Look and The Sulk.
TO SPAY/NEUTER OR NOT
Spaying/neutering will prevent male dog territoriality and female dog heat cycles;
Altering tends to neutralize the difference between male and female dogs, thereby making both suitable pets;
Spaying/neutering helps prevent cancer as well as many behavior problems, yet it does not result in negative side effects (does not make dogs fat, lazy, less protective, etc.);
WHY A POODLE/SCHNAUZER MIX PUPPY:
Poodle mixes have little to no shedding, also, the miniature schnauzer does not shed. This makes this mix a truly hypo-allergenic dog. The best way to test this is to come for a visit and see if they bother your allergies. So far, we have had great sucess with our dogs and people with allergies. Everyone that has visited has been able to have one of our dogs. By breeding two seperate breeds you reduce the chances of passing along genetic faults common to pure bred dogs. We only breed first generation puppies. This means only two purebred dogs are used. Our puppies are usually a good mix of the schnauzer and poodle. The mini schnauzer is a very sturdy, muscular dog. This makes the schnoodle a good choice for families. You don't have to worry about a small, tiny dog getting hurt. They can handle the ruff/tuff play of children.
TEMPERMENT:
We prefer to sell our puppies as pets to wonderful loving homes. Parent dogs have superior dispositions, and are good with children. We own all our adult breeding dogs, they are family pets and are registered. Only happy, healthy dogs that are kid friendly are ever bred. Pups are socialized at a young age and with your loving care and positive reinforcement training; will become wonderful adults also.
HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Puppies always come with a written health guarantee. Puppies are vet checked. All have their first vaccines at 6 weeks of age. Pups are wormed several times. We do require you to take your puppy to the vet within 3 working days. This is to make sure you have your puppy examined by your vet. Then you mail back the vet paper to us. This is required for the 1-year health guarantee.
